Words in Process with Ted Carns

Here are a couple of images that were snapped during the most recent Words in Process at Allegory Gallery.  Amy Yanity, poet and author, hosted the evening.  The October featured writer was Ted Carns, who wrote the book, "Off On Our Own: Living Off-Grid in Comfortable Independence: One Couple's "Learn as We Go" Journey to Self-Reliance".

Here's Amy presenting Ted and his work.  What a fascinating evening!  It was really interesting learning more about Ted and his view on the world.

The event was really fun and a huge success!  A nice crowd turned out (even though the weather was a little rainy) and all of the books for sale at Second Chapter Books sold out!

Instead of reading excerpts from the book, Ted read portions of the book that were edited out of the published version.  After Ted was finished, a group of local writers presented their works.  I really love the community that is developing around the written word.

Next month's featured author is Chris Rodell, author of the book, "Use All The Crayons!: The Colorful Guide To Simple Human Happiness".  Please join us on November 15th!  The fun starts at 7PM!  This will be the last Words in Process for the season.  If you enjoy events like this, please come out and show your support!
