Words In Process with Christina Springer! This Tuesday, July 16th, 7 pm!

Words In Process continues this coming Tuesday with Pittsburgh area poet and performance artist Christina Springer.

Christina Springer is a text artist who uses poetry, dance, theatre, film and other visual expressions.  She is currently working on two interactive performative encounters, “Operation Brown Shields” and “The Energy Of Always: Standing Together.”  As a featured artist for Miko Kuro’s Midnight Tea, she performed in Greece, India and Pittsburgh, PA.  She has taught creative writing at CityLit College and The University Of East London.  Cave Canem helped shape voice.  Her poems have been published widely in anthologies and literary journals including: "Gathering Ground: A Cave Canem Reader," and “The Complete Idiots Guide To Slam Poetry CD.” Recently produced dance-theatre scripts include: "Living Ancestry" and "Kikombe Cha Kisiri Mato: A Kwanzaa Myth" produced by Umoja African Arts Company and "The Splooge Factory" produced by Composer's Collaborative.   As an Artist In Residence for Historic Royal Palaces, she delivered four mixed media projects with youth at the Tower Of London and Hampton Court Palace. 
Join us at the NEW Allegory Gallery Annex! The Annex is located at 3720 Route 711 in the Ligonier Mini Mall on the second floor next to the yoga studio (gray door). The Mini Mall is just past the Ligonier Camp and Conference Center and Cool Springs Express. 7 pm, as always, and an open mic for writers after Christina reads!
