UU First Friday Series resumes with Molly Rush. Also, their annual fundraiser for the food bank is on Saturday. Lots of good stuff!

Non-violence and Justice
Speaker: Molly Rush
Co-founder of the Thomas Merton Center
The Thomas Merton Center is an non-profit grassroots organization in Pittsburgh whose mission is to educate, raise awareness and to ask the moral questions that surround issues of social justice, poverty, workers' rights, racial discrimination, environmental and economic justice, peace and nonviolence.


The First Friday Series offers the public the opportunity to hear religious, philosophical or other vital topics affecting humankind. The belief set of a different religious tradition or other subject is presented and discussed each month. 






The second item is or annual sale. 100% of the proceeds go to local food banks. In the last 6 years we have raised and contributed over $15,000 to  local organizations that fight hunger :
