Did you know Abraham Lincoln was 9 years old when Wellington Alley was created?

The historic street grid of Ligonier Borough is something we take for granted.  By comparison, because the fort is on special land, we think of it as the center of our historical preservation, but what about the village grid itself? Somehow we have managed to retain the village. Against all odds, even with the fake colonial facades added at the suggestion of professional planners, we still have our village street grid.
