fatal accident on Laurel Mountain

A 52-year-old Somerset County man died in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning atop Laurel Mountain along Route 30 in Ligonier Township.
The Westmoreland County Coroner's office said Thomas Nestor of Somerset Township was pronounced dead at the scene of the 6:11 a.m. crash just west of the Somerset County line.
Deputy Coroner Josh Zappone, who pronounced Nestor dead at the scene, said the cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy and toxicology tests conducted by forensic pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht and Pathology Associates in Pittsburgh.
