Free Museum Day  Sunday, May 4, 2014
Free Museum Day "Art and History Through the Valley" will be held Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 10AM to 5PM.  Free admission will be provided to all visitors at Antiochian Heritage Museum (open 1-4PM), Compass Inn Museum (open 11AM - 4PM), Fort Ligonier (open 11AM - 4:30PM), Ligonier Valley Railroad Museum (open 10AM - 3PM), Lincoln Highway Experience (open 10AM - 4PM), and Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art (open 1-5PM).  Special programs are planned at each of the participating sites.


RAMS Kick-Off  Thursday, May 8, from 5-7PM
Join participating merchants in Ligonier as we Kick-off our third Recognizing Amazing Merchants and Students event from 5-7 PM.  All merchandise for sale is handcrafted by students from the Ligonier Valley School District.  Look for the red and black balloons and shop for some amazing merchandise.


Ligonier Art Walk  May 10, 2014 10AM - 7PM

Several local galleries will host a variety of artists this day.  Artist receptions will begin at 4PM.  Artist Cecile Houel will present "A Study in Portraiture and Landscape Painting" from 10AM - Noon at the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, and will then introduce her work at Conte Design-Lifestyle Gallery.  Allegory Gallery hosts photographer Shirleah Kelly; Dovecote Ligonier hosts artist PJ Zimmerlink; G Squared Gallery hosts avian artists Matt Adrian and Dolan Geiman, and birdhouse builder Dave Vissat; and Main Exhibit Gallery will showcsae the Art of Printmaking with David Clark, Mary Hamilton, and Jan Heath. Working artist Jaime Cooper's Gallery and Studio and Gilliland Fine Art are also stops on the Art Walk.  Enjoy art in Ligonier!
