Jeff Donato has a great comeback following cardiac surgery.

A Ligonier Borough man who endured cardiac surgery last summer made a triumphant return to competing in triathlons on Sunday.
Jeff Donato, 62, placed third out of 10 people in his age group at the Angel's Race in Lynchburg, Va., placing within the top 125 of the race's nearly 300 participants.
“I was nervous about wanting to do well, but I came out of the swim really well, and I came out of the bike feeling good,” he said.
The lifelong athlete underwent robotic surgery in July after noticing a decline in his strength and stamina.
