carving tiny art in Ligonier

A grizzly bear claw, a manatee rib and the tooth of a walrus are among the “unusual” objects that Ligonier resident Bob Shamey has carved into unique works of art.
“It's just what I do,” said Shamey, who has been recognized for his skills in multiple publications including the Guinness Book of World Records and Ripley's Believe it or Not.
Shamey, a self-taught artist who has been designing and creating hand-crafted metal jewelry since the 1970s, is probably most well known for the miniature carvings he does on toothpicks and fruit pits.
