township supports the library...yeah!!

The Ligonier Township supervisors will donate $1,500 to the Ligonier Valley Library.
At its Sept. 16 work session, the board did not act on a donation request from the library, after secretary Bruce Robinson and solicitor Scott Avolio suggested looking into whether a donation policy is required of a municipality for it to give donations.
At a special meeting on Friday, solicitor Michael Korns said he did not feel a policy was necessary since it is written in the state's second class township code that municipalities can give to libraries, among several other entities.
