job opportunity with borough

Ligonier Borough is accepting applications for a vacant public works department job.
At a council meeting Jan. 8, Public Works Director Paul Fry announced that laborer and mechanic Michael Gray has left his position, which he held since 2008.
In his resignation letter, Gray stated he had accepted a job with the City of Latrobe's public works department, which offered opportunities for advancement and a pay increase.
Fry said the borough will be advertising the job, which will require a commercial driver's license and prior experience.
“Main duties will be servicing all borough vehicles, police vehicles and fire trucks and then do all other labor jobs as so directed,” Fry said.
To apply, interested parties may pick up an application at the borough office. Applications must be turned in by 4 p.m. Jan. 30.
