pair arrested for bank robbery

A North Huntingdon woman accused of robbing a Laughlintown bank Tuesday with her companion told state police at Somerset she needed the money because “she had a drug problem and they needed the money for bills.”
The suspects, Justin William Buckholz, 26, and Heather Dempsey, 31, both of Aspen Street, Rillton, remained in Westmoreland County Prison on Wednesday for allegedly robbing the First Commonwealth Bank along Route 30 in Ligonier Township at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday, according to a criminal complaint filed by police Chief Michael Matrunics. The suspects fled the bank with about $1,642.
