  • NOW THROUGH APRIL 15: The 2016  Chamber Photo Calendar Contest will be accepting entries through  April 15, 2015. For the 2016 calendar.If you have some great photos of the Ligonier Valley, or know someone who does, please enter the contest today!  If your business or organization is interested in  sponsoring a page or half-page on the calendar, please contact the Chamber office. 
  • FEBRUARY 14: The Bluebird Society of Pennsylvania presents Calling All Bluebirds on Saturday, February 14th at 10 AM at the Loyalhanna Watershed Office. Come learn about bluebirds and assemble a Bluebird Nest Box or for sparrows a Gilbertson Nest Box. These nest boxes are free. You may either take one home or donate it to the Loyalhanna Watershed for the new bluebird trail. To reserve a place, call 724-238-7560.
  • FEBRUARY 20 - MARCH 27: Holy Trinity School will have a Fish Fry every Friday during Lent, with the exception of Good Friday from 4-7 PM in the school cafeteria. Fish Fry dates are February 20th, 27th, March 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th. Meals are eat in or take out. Orders can be placed in advance by calling 724-238-6430. All proceeds benefit Holy Trinity School.
  • FEBRUARY 20 - APRIL 3: Wilpen Volunteer Fire Co will be serving Lenten Dinners 4-7pm on Fridays from Feb 20, 2015 thru April 3, 2015. The menu will include Haluski, pierogi, mac and cheese, fried fish sandwiches, baked fish and desserts. Coffee and iced tea or punch are complimentary with meal. Take out is available by calling 724-238-7221.
  • FEBRUARY 22: On Sunday, February 22nd  at 2 PM Fort Ligonier will present Elegance and Taste: Dressing for George Washington’s Inaugural Ball. The lecture will be given by Erica Nuckles, Fort Ligonier’s Director of History and Collections. Suggested donation is $5 per person. Reservations are requested and can be made by calling 724-238-9701.
  • FEBRUARY 28: Holy Trinity School is having an indoor yard sale and vendor sale on Saturday, February 28th  from 8AM-  1PM  in the school cafeteria. This is a great way for you to spring clean and make some extra money…table space can be purchased for $25 each…which goes directly into the school fund. If you don’t want a table, stop by and find some treasures. For more information on the yard sale call Maria at 412-303-1712.
  • MARCH 3: The Powdermill Sunday Lecture series continues on March 8th at 1 PM with the program…Into the Sugarbush—Explore the process of making maple syrup, including why the sap flows and why some trees are better than others for syrup production.
  • MARCH 22: The Ligonier Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Soups On on Saturday, March 22nd from 11 AM- 4 PM. Sample over 20 delicious soups from local restaurants and vote for your favorite. Various Ligonier shops will have the best soup from a particular restaurant available to taste. Tickets can be purchased at the Chamber Office for $10 per person and are only sold in advance. No tickets will be sold on the day of the event. There are limited tickets available so get your ticket soon.
