updated maps will be available

Updated versions of the Ligonier Township draft zoning ordinance and map will be posted online and will be available in the municipal building before the supervisors meeting Tuesday.
Township Manager and zoning Officer Terry Carcella said the supervisors could vote to send the drafts to Westmoreland County planners, neighboring municipalities and area entities for comment.
Noticeable changes in the drafts include buffer zones added to 14 waterways and an expansion of an R-1 rural residential zone into Waterford. An area by the Ligonier Camp and Conference Center that was zoned industrial is agricultural. Industrial zones have been added by the stone quarry off Route 30 on the western side of the township and by Ligonier Construction Co. in Laughlintown.
Carcella urges “everyone to look at everything” on the ordinance and map and provide feedback.
