hearth cooking classes!!!!

Cooking has made much advancement since the late 1700s and early 1800s.
“We're not used to cooking over open fires or in ovens that you have to put your arm in to test the heat,” said Ligonier Valley Historical Society Executive Director Theresa Gay Rohall. “We have little gauges and dials to tell us it's ready.”
At the Compass Inn Museum, the cooking appliances of long ago are still fired up and ready to cook.
On March 21, the Ligonier Valley Historical Society will welcome the public to “From Hearth and Oven to Table,” a cooking class where guests will prepare a meal using the museum's restored cookhouse, just like the innkeepers would have done so hundreds of years ago.
