Fishmas 2015



The rods, reels, lines and hooks were in full cast Saturday, as eager anglers lined the banks of the Loyalhanna Creek and other local streams for the statewide opening of trout season, known locally as “Fishmas.”
Each year, thousands flock to the area, posting camp in anticipation of a bountiful catch, with local business and organizations more than happy to oblige.
Ligonier Outfitters on Main Street collects $10 donations throughout the year to help stock streams, keeping the ecological importance of sustainability in the spotlight. The store has been a well-established fishing gear supplier for years.
