Nepal donations through Mercy Corps

The massive 7.8 earthquake in Nepal has devastated hundreds of thousands of people. Historic buildings and entire villages were reduced to rubble, and survivors have little refuge from continued aftershocks. Initial reports indicate that thousands of people were killed and thousands more injured in the worst quake to strike the region in 80 years.
Mercy Corps has been working in Nepal since 2006 to help people improve their food security, economic development, resource management and education. Our more than 100 dedicated staff members on the ground — one of largest humanitarian teams in Nepal — are distributing emergency supplies to survivors, including clothing, blankets, water purification tools, cooking utensils, mosquito nets and shelter supplies.
