Primary Elections on May 19

Ligonier Valley School Board Openings

This year, there are seven candidates running for five openings on the Ligonier Valley School Board. One candidate in particular stands out as being a free-thinking individual, a supporter of public education, and someone who is interested in hearing what the public has to say. That candidate is Pam Newhouse.

Pam is interested in hearing what the citizens of the Ligonier Valley have to say, and has created a few avenues through which to reach her. One is her Facebook page - please follow this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1590882047819576/ and "like" her page to keep updated on what she is doing with her campaign.

Another opportunity is an email account she has set up for the public to contact her at: pnewhouse0803@gmail.com.

Finally, she has set up two "town-hall meetings" that she will be holding prior to the primary election. The first will be held at the New Florence Library on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, from 6:30-8:00PM. The second will be at the Ligonier Valley Library on Monday, May 4, 2015, from 6:30-8:30PM. These meetings will provide the public an opportunity to meet Pam, voice any concerns, and ask questions.

Please consider liking Pam's Facebook page, contacting her via email, and/or attending one of these meetings so that you can make the most informed decision possible when you head to the polls on May 19th!
