funeral arrangements

Funeral arrangements have been scheduled for the Ligonier Township police lieutenant who was killed in a head-on crash on Route 30 early Tuesday.

Visitation for Lt. Eric A. Eslary, 40, of Ligonier will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 Thursday and Friday at the J. Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel 144 E. Main St. in Ligonier Borough.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Ligonier with the Revs. John Foriska and Robert D. Cummings co-officiating. Interment will follow with honors in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery off Route 711.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that contributions to benefit Eric's wife, Mary Beth, and six children be made to: Western Pennsylvania Police Benevolent Foundation, c/o the funeral at 144 East Main St., Ligonier, PA 15658. Check donations should have “Mary Beth Eslary” in the memo line.
