Ligonier Country Market

Ligonier and the country was in the midst of planning the bicentennial in 1976 when the idea of a farmers market was suggested. The Ligonier bicentennial planning committee asked John and Vernie West to organize a market as a part of the local festivities.
Forty years later, the market continues to provide home grown, home baked and handmade fare for Ligonier Valley residents and visitors.
The Ligonier Country Market will mark its 40th year on May 16 during an opening day ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce.
